Some small heaven on earth
“…There are some places in the world where heaven clearly touches mother earth more closely: La Vallata is clearly one of those. Not only for its location on one of the higher hillsides of Umbria, offering the visitor wide panoramas and idyllic landscapes, but even more so for its owners and hosts. Tim’s laughter is really contageous and Lauredana’s ‘casalinga’ kitchen deserves a few stars. During our stay, we were wondering how they managed to accomplish all this work for their guests in the very few hours that a day counts … Needless to say: this is really an ‘indirizzo con molto calore’, an address with a lof of warmth. This is a place where you will come back, and back … and where each separation hurts a little. Molto grazie per creare questo ‘augur’. Paul and Bart, May 2010…”

“…Imagine a place where you wake up with no alarm clock, phone, TV or any sense of urgency to start your day. A place where you can look across the horizon and watch the sun rise over the mountains, a place where the bread is fresh every morning and the family-atmosphere is if it were written from a novel. That is La Vallata!!! We spent two wonderful weeks there, which was too short a stay. Tim, Loredana, the girtls Naira, Maya and Lisa, and the dogs Nana and Nero invited us into their home with open arms and paws. We had such good time that we didn’t want to leave. If you are looking for a peaceful place, beautiful view, a hardy laugh, good food, and that storybook feeling, I would recommend La Vallata!…”
